Research
My research interests address the design, development and evaluation of information systems, with a particular focus on the frontiers between computer science, management, design and cognition. The key areas of expertise include:
- Organization design and engineering: Socio-technical systems, business process management, collaboration support, exception handling, resilience, safety, using organizational theory in systems design;
- Teams and cognition: Situation awareness, team awareness, attention management, group decision-making, conflict management, using microworlds to study team cognition;
- Design science: Multidisciplinary approaches to design, evaluation methods.
Consulting
I have been providing external consulting in ISO 9001, ISO 27001, document management, business process management, health systems integration, evaluation of complex systems and electronic voting.
