HIGHS & LOWS

Copyright (c) 2002 Brendon Hyde

This game is played on the following board (the black stones are walls):

EQUALIZER - The player that represents the Lows removes one wall and starts moving.
HIGHS - Highs must move from the top of the walls to the top of an (orthogonal) adjacent empty wall or to the top of a Low stone.
LOWS - Lows must move to an (orthogonal) adjacent empty cell.
TURN - On each turn, each player must do two of the following actions (i.e., move two walls, move a wall twice, move two stones, move one stone twice or move a wall and a stone):
Move one of his stones.
When a Low reaches the bottom row, or a High reaches the top row, it is removed from the board.
A Low with a High over him is not affected (it will transport the High with him).
Move an empty wall to an (orthogonal) adjacent empty cell.
GOAL - Wins the player that removes all his stones from the board.

An opening example

Low started my removing one wall from the board (the dotted cell at b4). Then he moved one wall out of the way (a7-a6) and one stone (a8-a7).

High placed a wall (e3-d3) near a stone that advanced to that wall (d2-d3).
