About Me
I am an Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. Before, I was a postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University and INESC-ID. I received my PhD from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon (UL). My main research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Non-Visual Interaction and Accessible Computing. My research focuses on supporting independent navigation of people with visual impairments using either real-world navigation assistance or virtual navigation to gain prior knowledge of the environment. Other research interests regard Intelligent Virtual Agents and Information Visualization. I hold BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science from IST, UTL.Check out my Master Thesis Proposals for the year 2022/2023!
