Opening for Invited Assistant Professor

The Department of Informatics of the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Sciences (FCUL) welcomes declarations of interest from prospective candidates of any nationality for one position of Full-time Invited Assistant Professor (Professor Auxiliar Convidado em Dedicação Exclusiva).

Possible initial term Feb 1, 2012, renewable. The position is primarily (but not exclusively) devoted to young PhDs. Salary according to category in the range of 2127-3191 euro before taxes.

The selected candidates will partake the Department’s research activities and advanced teaching in Computer Science and Engineering. The Department of Informatics is very well ranked in the national evaluations and has a strong international standing in terms of research activities.

Criteria of preference in order of importance:

• PhD degree.
• Track record of research.
• Experience in university-level teaching (not mandatory).
• Fluency in the Portuguese language (not mandatory).
